Responsibilities:
The successful incumbents will:
- Manage, supervise and monitor all claims by third party against TNB in matters pertaining to procurement & contract including:
- Claims by contractor/sub-contractor/supplier for early termination of contract, late payment or failure to make payment by TNB or subsidiaries after completion of works/ services, retention sum, variation order, purchase order, garnishment order, performance bond and other matters relating to procurement & contract.
- Manage, supervise and monitor all claims by TNB against third party in matters pertaining to procurement & contract including:
- Claims against contractor/supplier who failed to perform according to the terms/specifications/schedules stipulated in the contract
- Manage, supervise and monitor all claims by third party against TNB in general matters such as claims from ex -employee of TNB on rights and benefits under the contract of employment or Collective Agreement.
- Provide legal opinion which relates to the above cases.
- Prepare monthly report on the above cases.
- Prepare paper to the management as and when required.
- Liaise with panel lawyers and monitoring the performance of panel lawyers.
Requirements
The prospective candidates should:
- Possess a good degree in Law/Legal Studies and certified by Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA) / Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA).
- Have a minimum of 1 year of related working experience is an added advantage.
- Proven industry and functional experiences and exposures in enterprise-sized solutions.
- A self-starter with an innate drive for achievement, a high degree of integrity, independent and possess good quality leadership skills, ability in managing change, strong analytical, planning and organizing skills as well as excellent interpersonal and business communications skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English are prerequisites for the above positions.
